The Kamov Ka-10M (NATO reporting name 'Hat') was a single seat observation helicopter designed for ship-borne operations with the Soviet Navy. The first Ka-10 flew in September 1949, and 12 units were built. These helicopters were tested at length, but did not enter production or service.

Built in 1977 at Yeovil, Somerset and intend to be a 2-seat light reconnaissance helicopter powered by either a Plessey Meon turboshaft engine or one/two piston engines. Following on from experience gained during the development of remotely piloted helicopters Westland started investigations in 1977 into a light two seat helicopter that could be used for aerial reconnaissance without the need for a skilled pilot. The two crew sat side-by-side in a circular fuselage giving excellent all round visibility. Having built a mock-up in 1977 to show prospective customers, the project soon faltered due to a lack of interest or funding by the UK Ministry of Defence and in early 1979 the project was formally abandoned.

Rugged and dependable, the Hiller Model UH-12 Helicopter first flew in 1948, and also entered U.S. Army service as the OH-23A through G. They served until the late '70's as trainers, utility and liason, and as medi-vac helos. Always overshadowed by the more famous Bell Model 47, the Hillers gave sterling service throughout their careers. Also saw service with the US Navy and dozens of forces around the world. My first FS chopper, model has four paint schemes, VC, some custom gauges,and rotor cyclic ani's.

Deadly looking, and just as lethal, the Mil MI-24 series of Helicopter Gunships are perfect Cold War images of the Soviet concept of a "Flying APC". Armed with AT Missles, Rockets and Cannon, and capable of transporting 8 Troops in its cabin. Caused much concern in the West, where there was no counterpart, and given the NATO code-name "Hind" This FS9 model has multiple paint schemes, lots of ani's, VC, some "custom" gauges and working gear.
